How many more times do you plan to turn 39 again? If it’s a few, you’re not alone. It’s perfectly fine if you don’t want to admit that you’re getting older. But what if you could feel 20 years old again and lose weight without some ridiculous diet?
There is a simple solution to follow that can take years off your life and make you feel dare I say 29 again. Co-authors Dr. Steven Rosenberg and Bobbie Freiberg have written the book called The 15/150 Secret to Simple Dieting. And Bobbie is sharing their secrets with you.
As we age, our metabolism slows down. What’s the trick to shedding pounds? Bobbie was given an easy guideline: no more than 15 grams of fat a day and no more than 150 carbs a day. “So I manipulated how I cooked and ordered out. I still had my martini every night along with my ice cream cone! Life is too short not to indulge,” says Bobbie. She lost 45 pounds in 7 months and she’s in her 50s!
Yes you read that right, she still enjoys her martini! If you’re more of a wino, or beer lover, here’s the breakdown:
Vodka Martini: fats 0, carbs 0
Wine 4 ounces: 5 carbs
Low Calorie Beer 12 ounces: 2 to 8 carbs
“I was lucky, my backside and stomach were the first to go,” says Bobbie. See the 15/150 guideline is scientifically proven by a calorimeter for the perfect burn within a body. If you keep to the plan, excess fat practically melts away.
And after you lose those lbs, how do you keep them off? Bobbie suggests increasing the ration to 20 grams of fat and 200 carbs a day. “At this point, if you want that fat juicy steak, and your over the 20 gram mark, cut back on the carbs for the day,” says Bobbie.
You must read labels to find the brands of foods that are lower in carbs and lower in fat. For instance: each egg has 5 grams of fat. Egg beaters and egg whites are 0.
