Don’t Worry…Be Happy
Now that Winter is over and Spring has sprung it’s time to get your serotonin levels back up! During the Winter some people have been known to be affected by SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder. The actual cause of this disorder is unknown at this point. However, it has been attributed to lack of sunlight during the shorter days of Winter with melatonin levels going down. Now that the sun is shining more and Daylight savings is back! No need to be SAD anymore! Not only will living an active lifestyle and eating right help to shake those remaining SAD symptoms. Having a positive mindset is half the battle when breaking the negative mindset that SAD can contribute to during those Winter months.
This is where Hypnotherapy comes in handy. It can help an individual jumpstart their serotonin levels by relaxing the mind and helping the individual reach a positive thought process. Hypnotherapy will help people focus on the brighter aspects of their lives and not let the negative ones affect them. The reasoning is that the more a person thinks negatively the more likely they are going to experience negative moments, and It is also worth saying that as people we will generally react the same way to an event, person, situation as we did the first time. If you see a bug and scream then the next time you see a bug you are going to scream. If you try new exotic food but have a bad experience with it then when it comes the time to try new food again you may be hesitant. Even though over the past few months SAD and its symptoms have become second nature to the individuals suffering from the disorder.
Now it’s time to call your local hypnotherapist and jumpstart your mental health into a positive mind frame. Prepare yourself this Spring to live a healthier lifestyle both mentally and physically. Enjoy these beautiful Spring and Summer days to come.
